At our March 2022 Zoom Poetry evening Rose Lucas hosted two brackets of great open mic poetry. The chat and follow-up was terrific – “such a warm, supportive community … lovely to hear such a range of established and emerging voices. It brought me a great deal of joy and comfort to be part of it”.

And a special bonus, we heard Simone King read the winning poem of this year’s Blake Poetry Prize – one of Australia’s premier prizes that ‘challenges Australian poets to explore the spiritual and religious in a new work of 100 lines or less’.

Congratulations to all the poets sharing their work – everyone shone.

And a special shout out to Bridget Webster for her great debut reading.
